Mark J. Gargiulo, D.D.S.

Dr. Mark Gargiulo earned his Bachelor of Science, General Dental, and Advanced Graduate Study in Periodontics degrees from the prestigious University of Loyola in Chicago.

Upon graduation in 1991, he has practiced periodontics exclusively with his father, Anthony Gargiulo, D.D.S. and Peter Roberson, D.D.S. Their practice in Chicago, Illinois is limited to periodontics and dental implant surgery.

He is a member of many dental societies such as the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association, the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of Osseointegration (Dental Implant Society) and the International Congress of oral Implantologists. He is also currently the director of the Greater Chicago ITI Study Club for Implants.

Anthony W. Gargiulo, D.D.S., M.S.

Dr. Anthony Gargiulo received his Periodontal Graduate Degree from Loyola University in 1959. In addition to full-time periodontal practice, Dr. A. Gargiulo has held teaching positions at Loyola University for thirty-five years, becoming the Department Chairman of the Department of Periodontics from 1962-1992. He has been a contributing author to a number of periodontal texts, has published a great many research papers, and lectured world-wide.

Dr. Anthony Gargiulo is a member of numerous dental societies including the Chicago Dental Society, Illinois State Dental Society, American Dental Association and the American Academy of Periodontology. He has also held many positions of trust in these dental organizations including; Chairman of the Publications Review Committee for the American Academy of Periodontology and Chairman of the American Board of Periodontology.

Shawn Thomas, D.D.S.

As a graduate of Loyola University Chicago, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2012, Dr. Thomas has returned to the area to serve the periodontal needs of the Chicago community. In 2016, Dr. Thomas graduated with Honors from Marquette University School of Dentistry with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Upon completion of his dental degree, Dr. Thomas continued his education and received his specialty certificate in Periodontics from the University of Pittsburgh in 2019. Dr. Thomas is highly trained in both surgical and non-surgical periodontal therapy, as well as implant therapy. Such procedures include gingival grafting, crown elongation, osseous surgery, bone grafting, ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, All-On-Four dental implants, and more. Patient satisfaction is of highest importance to Dr. Thomas and he strives to make sure all of his patients are comfortable during all procedures. Dr. Thomas is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Illinois Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois Society of Periodontists. To keep up to date on all the advancements in his field, Dr. Thomas attends many continuing education seminars and is a certified surgeon in Wilckodontics.
